“Perdix Perdix” A Grey Partridge by Zoe Fitchet

The second of our British Game Collection with Zoe, another iconic British game bird treasured by the sporting estates on which they reside. With each sale a matched contribution between FSA and Zoe will be donated to the GWCT.

Similar to the grouse this piece celebrates the conservation efforts that result from their pursuit as well as the bird itself.

Artist Zoe Fitchet is passionate about accuracy and realism in her work and again she has captured the movement of the bird beautifully as it changes direction mid flight.

Zoe is know as an artist that passionately supports wildlife conservation with her work, and so with each print sold a donation, matched by FSA, will be made to the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust [GWCT]. Each donation will go towards maintaining our beautifully thriving countryside and their research into the most sustainable field sport practices.

“Working on this piece was a new challenge with interesting angles and lighting to create. The pattern on the partridge’s feathers was surprisingly therapeutic and a pleasure to draw. The great reference provided by photographer James Wilding really captures the movement of this beautiful bird, which was fun to create in the drawing.”
