Never place wet leather near a direct heat source (radiators/fires). Wipe off mud with a damp cloth and allow it to dry naturally. Once dry, apply a high-quality leather balsam to restore the oils.
We take pride in the longevity of our work. Should your accessory require a repair due to heavy use or accidental damage, please contact us for our refurbishment service.
We exhibit at premier fieldsports events globally. Please visit our stand to handle the items, discuss bespoke commissions, or drop off skins. We don’t take every product to the shows, if there is something specific you would like to see, please contact us before hand and we will do our best to ensure it is with us.
Yes. We frequently craft bespoke items using skins provided by our clients. This is a popular way to create a unique item to commemorate a hunt. Where applicable we will require all import paperwork and CITES permits before we accept any skins for manufacture.
Skins must be professionally tanned and finished before arrival. We cannot accept raw or salted hides. Please contact us first to discuss the project and the items you wish to have made.
All skins will be assessed for use before we begin manufacture to be deemed suitable. Unfortunately, there is still a risk that inherent defects in customer-supplied skins (such as poor tanning or structural weak spots) only become apparent during the manufacturing process. In this instance while we apply our highest level of craftsmanship, Fine Shooting Accessories cannot be held responsible for these issues.
No. We commonly accept projects that will be developed from scratch and are not shown on our website. From gun room and watch boxes through to custom handbag orders. We will work with some of the best craftspeople in the industry to deliver your commission.
We source only the finest full-grain hides, tanned using traditional methods that preserve natural strength and character. Unlike mass-produced items, our accessories are individually crafted in our workshop, ensuring every stitch and edge finish meets the highest standards of English saddlery.
Leather is a natural material. Each hide carries its own character, including subtle variations in grain and tone. These are not flaws but hallmarks of an authentic, high-quality product that will develop a unique patina over years of use.
We use a combination of traditional hand-stitching and heavy-duty machinery where appropriate to ensure maximum longevity. Our focus is on "over-engineering" items like gun slips and cartridge bags so they withstand the rigours of the field. Our finest luxury luggage and handbags will all be saddle stitched as a celebration of traditional craft. This is a demonstration of the skill renowned throughout the best leather craft in the industry.
