This large piece, consisting of three flying red grouse, was created using oil based coloured pencils on hot pressed watercolour paper.
Artist Zoe Fitchet is passionate about accuracy and realism in her work. With each bird taking days to complete, the patterns and feathers were created with meticulous attention to detail.
Zoe is know as an artist who supports wildlife conservation with her artwork, and so with each print sold a donation, kindly matched by FSA, will be made to the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust [GWCT]. Each donation will go towards maintaining our beautifully thriving countryside and their research into the most sustainable field sport practices.
“This piece has been a really interesting challenge, with so many patterns and soft, delicate textures to create. Over the few weeks it took to complete, I have learnt new techniques and improved my ability to create pattern. It has been so rewarding to work on such a large piece, capturing the three beautiful birds in flight. I hope it brings joy to those who are fond of these British birds”
